Guidelines for footNOTES Submissions
footNOTES is a publication that highlights and celebrates the advancement of dance in Saskatchewan, Canada, and internationally. If you or your dance company has informational articles that would be of interest to dancers, dance instructors, and dance lovers we’d love to hear from you!
Dance Saskatchewan (DSI) Members’ submissions of articles will be considered for upcoming or future issues of footNOTES. If you would like to submit an article please contact the office in advance to discuss available space, etc.
Please submit high quality images only. DSI can choose to omit images in order to fit within the publications size capacity. DSI will maintain the right to edit written submissions for grammar and content. Dance Saskatchewan Inc. maintains the right to not accept articles that do not fit within the guidelines, and/or do not fit within DSI’s vision or mission.
Suggestions for submissions:
Written summary highlighting a dance event of interest;
Article describing an upcoming event;
Essays about dance history;
Profiles of dancers and/or dance professionals;
Essays highlighting particular dance styles;
Tips and information for dance professionals;
Advertisements are paid spaces, and are available to members and non-members. All advertisements need to be complete and digitally submitted. There is limited space for advertising so please submit early!

footNOTES is printed twice a year on May 1st and Nov. 1st. It’s important to remember submission deadlines. If the article or advertisement is not submitted by the deadline then it cannot be included in the next publication because footNOTES has already gone to print. If the article or advertisement is forward looking, please consider the timeline below.
