Dance Instructor, Watrous

Watrous School of Dance is recruiting a dance instructor for the 2017-2018 dance season commencing September 2017.
Watrous School of Dance is a well established club located approximately 130km southeast of Saskatoon that offers instruction in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Pointe, Modern, Musical Theatre, Acro and Hip Hop to approximately 80 dancers.  We follow the CDTA Tap and Jazz syllabi and the RAD Ballet syllabi. We currently attend three dance competitions per year, two out of town as well as our own, and perform a year end recital at the end of April. The successful candidate would work with an executive, must communicate well with other instructors, students and parents and be dedicated to the promotion of the club and the well being of our students.
We are seeking an instructor that would be responsible for teaching and preparing students for exams in CDTA Jazz and RAD Ballet syllabi from Primary to Advanced as well choreography for our groups recital and competition routines. Preference will be given to a candidate that is a Member of CDTA Jazz division and RAD Ballet and able to commit to 6-18 instruction hours per week (maximum hours to be determined based on qualifications and Instructor availability). Consideration will also be given to CDTA Associate Members or those currently in RAD Teacher training. Consideration will also be given to applicants with other equivalent training and experience.  Experience in the other disciplines would also be an asset. The successful candidate(s) will have opportunity to choreograph solos, duets and/or trios. Our club typically employs three to four instructors per year who teach out of two studio spaces.
Wage is to be negotiated based on qualifications and experience. The position will be filled when a suitable applicant is found.
